Based in Rochester, Kent
I am a very diverse potter with a wide range of ceramics in several glazes. I am fascinated by the effects the fire has on different materials and continually experiment with each firing.
1976 – 1979 Medway college of design (now University for the creative arts) College diploma with distinction. Tutors included Mike Dodd, Siddig El Nigoumi, David Leach, Colin Pearson, Geoffrey Whiting etc.
1980 onwards working mainly in the Rochester area and resident in the present workshop since 1988.
Starting initially making tableware in stoneware and terracotta garden pots, now working exclusively in stoneware making tableware, a lot of one off pieces and pots for the garden including sculpted heads for plants.
Stockist / shows
This year I will be at the British Craft Trade Show, Blenheim palace, Country Living, Hatfield House, Potfest, Newmarket arts fair etc. Other shows in the past include Potfest Park & Pens, Ceramic south east and Earth & Fire
Galleries I sell to vary each year depending on orders at trade shows. In the past they have included, Rufford craft centre, Hayrack gallery, Salt Box gallery and Primavera.
